When you see how it's built you realize it really was a 4 wheeled motorcycle.

Nice progress, James. What did you use for the gold color? Thanks, Paul! It is the recommended mix of color from the Tamiya instruction.

Great start for sure on the engine. Looking forward to seeing it mounted sideways in the chassis, as it's the star of this kit.

James, The injector 3D parts look outstanding to say the least. Like you, I have a real issue with seeing small parts, so needless to say I really do appreciate how you're working with them.

Excellent work getting those stacks installed!! That looks awesome. Good idea with the oil cap. That’ll be a nice touch when you get it how you want it. Now just that simple little fuel system and you’ll be in good shape. Lol

James, We're always our own worst critics. Those Trumpets look just fine and have a visual sense of used rather then new and just polished to the nth degree. Personally, I like your better then the ones in the pictures. Way back in the late 1960's through the early 70's when I was running in time trials at Bridgehampton, I ran Aluminum intakes on my MGB. And even straight from the retailer they looked like yours, not the polished ones in the pictures.

James, Not much to tell as you race against the clock, and were never allowed to run the full straight. I only ran the tr[als for 1 year with my best finish a 2nd in EP as they allowed guys to bring full trailer race cars and we had to compete with them. Twice I went against two full race Elva Couriers and managed to split them where I finished 2nd which was my best finish in my short career. 1st time trial I ran there after their very short driver's school, I scared my self nearly to death as driving the Bridge was nothing like watching there.
After that I decided that the only way I could actually race was in Enduro Karts. So I bought a used one and ran the NE circuit for 3 years, winning my class in the 3rd year. Retired after that and got married. I still have that plaque hanging on the wall in my computer/model room.

And it sounds like we need to hear or see more about your time trials! Model factory Hiro sells some different diameters of clear hose. Might be able to tint it. I’m not sure. Alternatively maybe some fishing line? I’m not sure. I’ve never looked into how to make those fuel lines like that.

Yea fishing line is a good option, also the line they use to make lures. Its actual tubing and looks damn authentic. Looks like this. This stuff I have is the wrong diameter but Ill see what I can find!

Lets get these trumpets painted and installed. I tried to separate them into groups still attached to the mold so it was easier to paint. This was the best I could do. It came with 2 extra but I was still super nervous. They are so tiny, and I have a bad habit of dropping parts. It worked out though. I didnt get the shine I hoped for, but to be fair im going to cover it in panel accent black and oil so Also, I noticed on the real car the oil cap isn't flat as its molded on the kit. Its raised up. I took one of the extra trumpets, cut it down and did my best to make it look more like the real thing. I don't like it. I'm going to try again. That engine is looking stellar mate! Love the greeny/gold on the headers and I know how hard it is working with tubing that small - well done so far!
